Stanley Park Visitor Centre

Client: Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation

Location: Vancouver, BC

Completion: 1998

Architect: Lubor Trubka Associates Architect

Firm: Stevenson + Associates Landscape Architect

Role: Design through to contract administration, coordination, and project management.

Landscape work includes hardscape, site grading, and native planting. Working with the architect and the parks staff to create a space that respects the heritage of the site, blend and represent the natural surrounding in which the building and totem poles are set in.  The totem poles are set in a cobble beach setting to limit public access and damages from visitors, and to act as a retention of storm water.
